WrestleMania is going to be set the WWE world on fire. The main event has been locked in for a year, but there are plenty of other intriguing matchups to watch out for. By the sound of things, what we thought we knew going in could be changing.
The funny thing is, with all the 'Mania rumors going around right now, there is still the little matter of the Royal Rumble to take care of. It is an interesting time to pay attention to WWE, to say the least, and things will heat up over the next 72 hours.

Vince McMahon is nothing if not unpredictable, so it comes as no surprise that the plans for WrestleMania could be changing in a big way. It has been reported that the talk now is to have Chris Jericho battle The Undertaker and CM Punk will challenge Triple H.
Question on Everybody's Mind: These are positive changes, right?
Our Take: To borrow a phrase from Steve Austin: Hell Yeah! Triple H and Undertaker had a classic match last year, but a third matchup between them on the WrestleMania stage did not have a lot of appeal.

WrestleMania is going to be big this year, at least it looks like it will be right now. It is going to take a major screwup on WWE's part if it doesn't do the biggest buyrate in company history. Still, we have to remember that this is just speculation, and things could remain as originally planned.

WWE has emphasized that everyone is eligible for this year's Rumble match, so it is only natural that something strange would be planned for the show. What exactly that is, no one knows at this time.
Question on Everybody's Mind: Is there going to be a champion involved in the match?
Our Take: Popular sentiment has CM Punk or Daniel Bryan, or whoever happens to be the WWE and World Champion, entering the match. It will be interesting to see if that is how the feud between Jericho and Punk starts, if WWE decides to go that direction for WrestleMania.
Hype Meter: 4 out of 5 Rumble Surprises
This is an interesting tactic for WWE to use, if it is the direction things are going. It does not make a lot of sense considering the rules of the Rumble, but who needs logic and creative clarity in today's world.

Goldust has been politicking for a match with Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania. While that is not likely to happen, there could be something brewing at the Elimination Chamber.

Our Take: You would think so, but WWE loves to use old school performers because Vince McMahon thinks that it actually gets someone over. It can't hurt anything, so in the scheme of things, it doesn't matter.

Rhodes has gotten a lot better in recent months, so he should be getting involved in high profile feuds. Goldust, aka Dustin Runnels, has not been a relevant performer in at least a decade.
