2012 NFL Pro Bowl: League Makes Brilliant Move by Allowing In-Game Tweeting
For the first time in Pro Bowl history, players will be allowed to tweet during the game.
Nope. Not kidding. It's true.
We know this because CNBC's Darren Rovell knows this:

So, during the game, the best and the brightest that the NFL has to offer will be allowed to comment on the action in 140 characters or less. You won't even have to watch the game to know what's going on.
Let's face it, most of us probably aren't going to watch the Pro Bowl, either way. The game itself is rarely entertaining, as we've long since come to expect high-scoring affairs carried out by players who aren't very interested in making any kind of effort to do, well, anything. The Pro Bowl is football at its absolute worst.
However, allowing players to tweet should spice things up a bit. I'm not sure exactly how many of this year's Pro Bowlers are on Twitter, but I know for a fact that quite a few of them are. The ones who aren't might just view this as a chance to join Twitter.
The tweets themselves should be fun. As much as we like to complain about the players not trying at the Pro Bowl, none of us would try if we were in their place. They're just there to have fun, so they may as well have fun on Twitter.
Hats off to the league for thinking of a way to spice up the Pro Bowl. The league isn't likely to make the Pro Bowl count for something and it's sure as heck not going to cancel the thing altogether, so it's nice to know that the NFL is aware of the fact that the Pro Bowl just isn't very interesting.
In-game tweeting is a damn good upgrade.
Now, let's see about getting lightsabers and zombies involved.
