Senior Bowl 2012: Why Boise State's Doug Martin Can Be the Second RB Drafted
The jury is still out on who the second-best running back in the 2012 NFL Draft class is after beastly runner, Trent Richardson.
With a strong showing at the Senior Bowl this week in Mobile, Boise State star Doug Martin has the distinct possibility to be the second tailback taken on April 26th.
At 5'9'' and a thick 219 pounds, Martin has ideal size and displayed feature back ability at during his time as a collegian.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
He ran for over 3,400 yards and scored 43 rushing touchdowns over his four-year career with the Broncos. The versatile athlete also caught 28 passes in each of the last two seasons and returned 10 kickoffs in 2011.
While he's not fabulous in one specific area, there's not much Martin does poorly when he's on the field.
Many onlookers, scouts, and media members have been raving about his draft prospectus after watching him in the Senior Bowl's practices thus far.
He brings a workmanlike approach to the field, runs as hard as any back in the class and actually has shown more explosiveness through the line than many expected.
While Washington's Chris Polk hasn't been terrible thus far in Mobile, he's definitely been overshadowed by the consistency and big-play potential Martin has displayed.
He's also been reliable as a pass blocker, something that head coaches will love.
If Martin continues his impressive week of practice and flourishes in the game on Sunday, he certainly has a chance to be the second running back off the board and will almost assuredly be a first-round selection.
