Australian Open 2012: Andy Murray Doesn't Stand a Chance vs. Novak Djokovic
World No. 1 male tennis player Novak Djokovic is ready for anything that Andy Murray can throw at him when the two face off in the semifinals of the 2012 Australian Open.
The people that run the Australian Open have been clearing their eyes because they must be suffering from déjà vu!
Not only are we seeing Rafael Nadal vs. Roger Federer in one semi, you have a rematch of last year’s Aussie Open final that pitted Murray against Djokovic.
While Murray has been playing amazing so far this tournament and over the last few months, Djokovic has his number and will beat him like he did last season.
Djokovic told the Australian about playing Murray again this year with a chance for an appearance in the Finals on the line:
"I am going to try to repeat the same game as last year (but) I am going to need more than that. He is playing great. He is in great shape. You can feel he is physically fit, that he is eager to win a grand slam. It is the top four players in the last four of a grand slam. It is great.
"
I am going to have to agree with the Djoker on this one; it’s a great time to be a fan of tennis.
With the final four of the Australian Open filled with some of the top players in the sport, the matchups in the semis and in the finals will be exactly what the fans want.
Not only will they get the Nadal-Federer matchup that people just can get enough of, they get to see the world’s No. 1 further his dominance on the sport.
While I think Murray is a great player with plenty of talent, the Djoker is playing out of his mind over the past year, and nothing can stop him.
As good as Murray has looked, Novak Djokovic will still destroy him before beating whoever survives from the other side of the bracket.
Either way, the final will be an all-out war.
