Royal Rumble 2012: CM Punk Shouldn't Count on Fair Victory
One way or the other, CM Punk will not leave the Royal Rumble as champion. The deck is stacked against him. He knows it, but isn't sure just how bad it is.
There are ways to for John Laurinaitis to trick Triple H into thinking he called a fair match, but really screw CM Punk out of the title.
He can have Vickie Guerrero step up on the apron to argue. Laurinaitis would then go to argue with her, only to have Jack Swagger or David Otunga come in and level CM Punk.

The following night on RAW, Laurinaitis can make a case to Triple H that he was distracted and not in position to make the call. If Triple H presses him any further, Laurinaitis would only need to point out that Triple H's own history with Punk proves it can happen.
Then, the two will embrace and we'll see a nice smile from Laurinaitis.
That is one possibility, but it's not the only one. Here is a thought. Maybe Triple H is against Punk altogether. Those two did have a pretty nice feud from the late summer-early fall. Does anyone remember it having a resolution? Anyone?
No, Triple H fought Punk, didn't hold it against him and got fired for his troubles. Do you mean to tell me that that doesn't burn with Triple H? He has been fired from his position, off of television and steaming at his home.
Punk said some nasty things about Triple H over the summer and there was never any form of revenge.
The anti-authority act of Punk doesn't stop with the RAW GM. No, it goes to the entire company, all the way up to Vince McMahon. If you don't think the people in Stamford don't realize this, you're crazy. They can't stand the fact that a guy like Punk has the company's greatest prize.
The idea of him going to WrestleMania with the belt on his shoulder is just too much. When Punk arrives at the Rumble on Sunday, the man he needs to keep an eye on is Triple H.
Punk will know to keep an eye on Laurinaitis, Guerrero, Ziggler and Swagger. But on Monday, he showed a too much trust in Triple H.
That will be what costs Punk the title.
