WWE Royal Rumble 2012: Expect Epic Impact from John Cena
Need meets want as John Cena's story finally gets interesting at the 2012 Royal Rumble.
I am all for feeling things out, but Cena has been stagnant for far too long to remain interesting. Call the latest rivalry with Kane phenomenal or just plain cheese. What you can't argue is that it's necessary.
Finally we have some intrigue on the line with Cena and the possibility that he will turn heel or embrace some dark personae that would at least make him a draw for fans once again.

The boos filling every arena across the nation were funny at first, but they now sound like fingernails on the chalkboard, and it's no fault of the fans. They boo the Cena that has begun to wane as a draw for WWE.
Leaving Cena off at TLC was one signal that the current-day Cena is at his end. Many hate him and those who don't, just don't care.
The nice-guy act may have worked in some other realm, but it's tired and needs to change now. That is why I am confidant the bout between Kane and John Cena won't be just another case of hype, but a main-card masterpiece that will serve to change the direction of John Cena and his image.
Kane has been trying to get John Cena to embrace the hate for weeks now, and it's been working. Cena looked every bit diabolical during last Monday's Raw when he beat Jack Swagger senseless.
When watching it, I felt something I hadn't for months in relation to Cena. I actually gave a damn. I have no idea if I will grow to love a darker and more evil Cena or if I will hate him. The point is that we can all feel something for the star that has fallen on drab times.
The WWE is not going to miss an opportunity to make a huge plot point at Royal Rumble ahead of WrestleMania's feature with The Rock and Cena.
We have wondered how Cena would approach The People's Champion, and it seems he will do so as a purveyor of hate.
Instead of The Rock versus a failing John Cena, we will get a classic good vs. evil. Kane may be bringing hell with him, but he is raining down a great deal of entertainment with him.
Out of nowhere, this John Cena guy may prove interesting after all.
