2012 Senior Bowl Uniforms: Breaking Down Latest Nike Unis

We are only a few short days away from the 2012 Senior Bowl, where some great college athletes make their claims on great NFL careers. It seems they will not head into battle without some much-needed swagger. 

Thanks to Jaguars Insider, we have a glimpse of one team's uniforms for the upcoming Senior Bowl. Here is a picture of a mannequin doing his best to look intimidating. 

Awkward dummy looking a tad bit too goofy for words aside, the unis are just what is needed for a momentous game. 

It's not enough to play well, you have to dominate in style. Let's break down the uniforms to the barest of minute details. 

Helmet Possibilities 

The uniform has to handle the various looks for a myriad of college football helmets. The simple look will have Michigan Wolverines' helmets looking as good as those from Cal. 

The simpler the better for so many helmets, and the Senior Bowl gets that. 

Grade: B+

Color Scheme

I'm liking the simple red on red with touches of blue throughout. I can't wait to see the other side of the field and how they are decked out. 

The stripes on the arm are simple enough, but a classic touch that makes the collegiate sensibilities of the game. 

We had the gradient in the numbers that adds some spice to an otherwise simple uniform. Red on red can be a bit much for the eyes, but this works. 

Grade: A 

Swagger 

Come forth all ye seniors, because you are about to be fitted head to toe in great looking uniforms. The game may flounder with far too much scoring, but any difficulty watching the Senior Bowl will not be due to the jerseys. 

The Senior Bowl is winning far before kick off.
