Tampa Bay Buccaneers Jilted by Oregon's Chip Kelly
Just when you were looking for a fastball from Mark Dominik and the ghastly Glazer guys, they threw you a nasty curveball.
On Sunday, Dominik and the Glazers found out that surprises go both ways.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneer coaching search finally honed in on one candidate: Oregon head coach Chip Kelly. Just when you thought it might by Mike Zimmer or some other NFL candidate, the Bucs went Animal House on everyone and decided to go back to college.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
There was only one big fat drawback.
Apparently after saying "yes," Kelly had a change of heart and said "no."
Sorry amigos.
First casualty of this latest mess was Roy Cummings of The Tampa Tribune, the Bucs beat writer at the type-and-gripe factory down there on the river.
Cummings was so convinced that the Monday morning issues carried the headline:
"Bucs Focus on Oregon's Kelly."
Oops.
The Bucs were focused on Oregon's Kelly, now they'll have to focus somewhere else.
It all went down Sunday night. Kelly and the Bucs apparently reached some sort of verbal "agreement" and then later, perhaps after figuring out that he really didn't want to be reunited with LeGarrette Blount, Kelly changed his mind.
Holy Bill Parcells!
Yep, the Glazers have eaten off this menu before.
Can you blame Kelly?
Let's see, should he stay at Oregon and dine off the filet mignon of college programs where he gets all the great recruits he wants? Or should he go to hot, sweltery Tampa and a team that is unruly, can't tackle and wouldn't know discipline if it hit it in the face?
Yep, Kelly came to his senses.
The Pac-12—or whatever it is—or the New Orleans Saints, Atlanta Falcons, etc.
So now Dominik and the Glazers can wipe that heaping portion of Oregon pie off their faces and get back to the search.
Serves 'em right, sorta, doesn't it?
