WWE News: Chris Jericho Confirms He Is Back for the Long Run

For many Jericholic's, Chris Jericho's latest WWE run has been considered both disappointing and brilliant all at once.

The good news is, this silent period will hopefully only be a small part of Jericho's latest character. As wrestlinginc.com is reporting, Jericho's has no intentions of making this stint a short one.

He believes his WWE return will be a long-term one. Jericho told the Winnipeg Free Press that "I have no intentions of leaving anytime soon," and mentioned that he was in the best shape of his life.

"The thing for me is I always have lots of other stuff going on and I always have," said Jericho. "So, sometimes I leave to work on other projects, but I'll always come back."

This is pretty sweet news, as many were anticipating Jericho to only stick around for a few months and potentially leave after WrestleMania.

It should be noted that Jericho has managed to have several projects going on at once, all the while  maintaining the grueling WWE schedule. I personally hope this will be Jericho's last go around, as he has managed to have a pretty successful wrestling career and hasn't missed extended amounts of time due to injury.

It is also refreshing to see a wrestler that knows when he needs a break and has no problem stepping away for a few years to recharge. The other bonus is that Jericho actually tries to change up his act, so he's not stereotyped as one particular role.

As most wrestling fans have seen their share of stale character's and overdone plot-lines. As for his latest,  we will have to wait and see where Jericho's latest persona takes him.
