NBA Trade Rumors: Crazy Dwight Howard-Blake Griffin Potential Duo Is a Nightmare
With Dwight Howard still stuck in an Orlando Magic uniform and still demanding a trade at the moment, Howard added the Los Angeles Clippers to his current list of teams that already included the Dallas Mavericks, Los Angeles Lakers and New Jersey Nets.
Howard seems intrigued by the thought of playing for the Clippers, who already made a splash by acquiring Chris Paul this winter.
If the Clippers could find a way to land Howard, the Blake Griffin-Howard duo would be a nightmare for the rest of the NBA.
A team with Paul, Howard and Griffin on it would be very dangerous and possibly the most explosive in the NBA.
From an offensive standpoint, not many teams in the NBA have the size to match up with a Clippers frontcourt that could feature Howard and Griffin. While very few teams would have the size, even fewer would have the talent to measure up against them.
They would dominate the block and force teams to make next-to-impossible choices on who to double and when.
Not only would the Clippers be great in the half-court game, the transition game would still be top-notch with Paul and Griffin.
Now to the defensive end where the Clippers would be dynamite.
Adding the multiple defensive player of the year winner in Howard to this team means the Clippers could have a chance to dominate the glass and as a team in general.
Very few teams could bang with them on a nightly basis.
We're not even talking about Paul, who is one of the best defensive guards in basketball.
By all means, if the Clippers could get the opportunity to take a run at Howard, then they should do so.
Acquiring him would mean that they could become scary good.
