WWE News: Very Latest on a Potential Heel Turn for John Cena
It just wouldnโt be a normal day without talking about a potential John Cena heel turn, and yes, today is indeed another normal day.
For years now, WWE fans have been asking the million-dollar question: Will John Cena ever turn heel?
Some say hell no, others say itโll happen when the time is right and some even say itโs happening right now during Cenaโs current storyline with Kane. But, for those hoping and praying for a Cena heel turn, I may have to burst your bubble.

Ryan Garcia Calls Out WWE Creative
From WrestlingNewsWorld.com:
"While I feel like Iโve answered this a million times, there are no plans for a full-fledged heel turn for John Cena. WWE is literally trying to split their audience in half for The Rock vs. Cena at Wrestlemania XXVIII yet many feel itโs inevitable that Rock will be babyface and Cena will be heel.ย
"
I know that many of you are sick of hearing about a potential Cena heel turn and would actually rather watch the Bellas wrestle Eve and Kelly than read another article about it, so hopefully, this will end any speculation about Cena turning to the dark side.
Even if Cena is undoubtedly going to be the โvillainโ of his feud with The Rock, that doesnโt mean he has to go heel.
In fact, as Stephanie McMahon revealed in a recent interview, the plan is to market The Rock vs. Cena like the Twilight films. Yeah, seriously.
In other words, Team Bring It will be like Team Edward, and the Cenation will be like Team Jacob (though I may have those bad guy/good guy alignments screwed up because I have no idea what goes on those movies). I suppose thatโs not really a bad idea because, like with anything else, there are always supporters of one side and supporters of another.
I just wouldnโt get my hopes up about Cena being treated as a full-blown heel anytime soon, like during his feud with The Rock.
We always speculate that heโs gonna be heel and that his feud with The Rock is โthe perfect time to do it,โ but WWE officials realize that they can have two huge stars feud without either of them going heel.
Itโs worked in the recent pastโthink Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels or Taker vs. Triple Hโand it could certainly work again with Cena vs. The Rock.
