Saints Fan Arrested for Allegedly Shooting 49ers Fans at Atlanta Applebee's
Two San Francisco 49ers fans were shot in the parking lot of an Applebee's restaurant in Duluth, Ga. on Saturday, according to a report from The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
The two fans, 30-year-old Christopher Middleton and 30-year-old Corey Adams, were rooting for the 49ers against the New Orleans Saints inside the restaurant. Middleton was taken to the Gwinnett Medical Center with a gunshot wound to the abdomen and was in critical condition. Adams escaped with a graze wound to his head.
Adams told a local news station that a Saints fan inside the Applebee's took exception to their cheers and had words with them. Adams said the man paid for his food and then left, saying he would be back.

"The only thing me and my buddy said was, we were excited that the 49ers scored," Adams said. "It was only one touchdown."
Adams added that he saw the Saints fan "pop a pill."
According to investigators, the Saints fan confronted Middleton and Adams in the parking lot and fired at them with a handgun.
"I took off running and he started shooting at me and shot like four or five times and he grazed the back of my head," said Adams, per FOXSports.com.
Witnesses were able to provide police with a description of the suspect and his vehicle.
A short while later, police arrested a suspect named Donald Ray Ayro after pursuing him and stopping him for questioning. Ayro was ultimately charged with two counts of aggravated assault, being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
Ayro was taken to the county jail and held without bond.
The 49ers beat the Saints, 36-32, to advance to the NFC Championship Game.
