Jimmy Fallon's Tribute to Tim Tebow Just Latest Example of QB's Popularity
Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos got a nice dose of some humble pie against the New England Patriots on Saturday night. But nothing that happens on a football field is going to hurt the immense popularity of the Broncos quarterback.
Just ask Jimmy Fallon.
Granted, Fallon used his Late Night show to praise Tebow before the Broncos lost last night, but this is just the latest example of how much of a superstar the 24-year-old is even if he isn't performing well.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Like him or not, Tebow's popularity and mainstream media attention is not going to go away. He is a different kind of person than the one we usually see clogging up our television sets.
He is not a diva using a sham marriage to get some fake publicity. He is not trying to be cutting edge just to get people talking about him.
He is a good person with strong religious beliefs and a strong sense of who he is, both as a person and an NFL player.
Fallon did take some shots at Tebow, because everyone does, but the fact of the matter is no one else is getting talked about on talk shows, news shows, SportsCenter, etc. like Tebow is.
He has become a rock star, which is ironic because Fallon mocked him using rock icon David Bowie's song "Space Oddity" to joke about him.
Tebow's season may be done, but Tebowmania has just begun. For Tebow haters, things are going to keep getting worse. He is going to be the story of the offseason. He is going to be the story of the preseason. He is going to be the story of the regular season.
And that is just for his NFL-related activities. Anything and everything he does off the field now is going to be covered in great detail. Tebow has proven himself to be a person that moves the ratings needle for networks, regardless of what the topic is.
As long as people keep watching him, he is going to continue to be a fixture on shows like Fallon's and anywhere else that might be looking for ratings.
