WrestleMania is known as the grandest stage of them all. It is the biggest event in the top professional wrestling company.
The 'Super Bowl' of professional wrestling has included so many of the best matches the business has ever seen.
Honorable Mention: WM 6: Ultimate Warrior vs. Hulk Hogan
Before this match, Hulk Hogan never lost a match at WrestleMania. This match was the passing of the torch from Hulk Hogan to the Ultimate Warrior, as both men were fan favorites at the time.
While neither of these superstars were the best technical wrestlers, they both knew how to get the fans excited.
This match was so memorable because it was the first time, Hulk Hogan put over another superstar and helped make Ultimate Warrior a star.
10. WM 17: The Rock vs. Steve Austin
This match was between two of the top WWE wrestlers in history, in the peak of their careers. The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin squared off in a 'No Disqualification' match that left both superstars cut open and bloody.
The match went back and forth with each superstar delivering their signature moves and their opponents' signature move on each other. Vince McMahon would come out and shockingly assist Stone Cold to beat the Rock.
Stone Cold would become a heel because of his alliance with Vince McMahon.
9. WM 17: Edge & Christian vs. The Dudley Boyz vs. The Hardy Boyz
Paul Heyman said this match was "As dangerous a match as you will ever, ever see." It was a match that featured six men who were willing to take any risk necessary to become Tag Team Champions.
This match saw many different risks that were take and when Edge hit Jeff Hardy, who was hanging mid-air from the belts, with a spear, it became one of the most jaw-dropping moments ever in the WWE.
Because this match was filled with so many risk-taking things, it is obviously seen as one of the most extreme matches the WWE has ever put on.
8. WM 12: Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels
There is a reason why Shawn Michaels acquired the nickname 'Mr. WrestleMania.' He has been involved in so many iconic matches at WrestleMania and the 60 minute 'Ironman Match that went on longer than 60 minutes was one of those matches.
Both Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels were in their prime as they faced each other in a 60-minute match that did not see anyone score a pinfall or submission within the 60 minutes.
The match would go to a sudden-death overtime and Shawn Michaels delivered a sweet chin music to put away Bret Hart.
Shawn Michaels is probably the greatest WWE superstars and one of the best WrestleMania performers of all time. This match gave him his first WWE Championship.
7. WM 10: Bret Hart vs. Owen Hart
This match was a match between two of the best in-ring wrestlers of all time. Not to mention, they are brothers and they had unbelievable chemistry together. The altercation between Bret and Owen Hart was 'legen...wait for it...dary.'
Bret was already a huge star at the time and was able to put his younger brother over and make him a star as well. Owen was the clear underdog in this match and it would go back and forth between the two of them until Owen pinned Bret.
Bret would go on later that night to win the WWF Championship, but that match did not even compare to his match with his brother.
6. WM 26: The Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels
This match featured arguably the two best WWE wrestlers of all time going up against each other for the second straight WrestleMania.
They put on of the best matches of all time at WrestleMania 25, and in this match the stipulations were even higher. Undertaker, as he does every year, put his WrestleMania streak on the line and Shawn Michaels put his career on the line.
The match, just like the previous one at WrestleMania, was filled with suspenseful and jaw-dropping moments. The Undertaker was finally able to pin Michaels and ended the career of probably the greatest WWE wrestler of all time.
5. WM 3: Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant
This match was easily the most anticipated match ever at the time. Hulk Hogan was for the first time an underdog at WrestleMania as he faced the 540-pound Andre the Giant.
This match could very well be considered the match that officially put professional wrestling on the map. Although it was not as technically wrestled as the Randy Savage and Ricky Steamboat match before it, it featured the most iconic moment in professional wrestling history.
Hulk Hogan went into his popular state of 'Hulkamania' and body slammed the Giant, which shocked everybody in the arena and watching at home.
He would follow the slam with a signature Hogan leg drop and pin Andre the Giant to end of the most memorable matches of all time.
4. WM 10: Razor Ramon vs. Shawn Michaels
This match was the first ladder match ever on WWE PPV and probably the best one ever as well.
Shawn Michaels had been the Intercontinental Champion until he got suspended and had to forfeit the belt. Razor Ramon was the new Intercontinental Champion with Michaels out and when the Heartbreak Kid returned, their was dispute over who was the real champion.
They settled their differences in this ladder match at WrestleMania 10. Although Shawn Michaels put on one of his best performances ever, Razor Ramon won the match and became the undisputed Intercontinental Champion.
3. WM 25: Shawn Michaels vs. the Undertaker
The first match between Undertaker and Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania was not for a title or Shawn Michaels career. It was just a regular match between two of the best ever.
Mr. WrestleMania vs. the man who has never lost at WrestleMania comes with extremely high expectations and this match did not disappoint.
The match went back and forth and many times it looked as if Shawn Michaels was going to end Undertaker's streak.
The match had several epic near pin-falls. And just when you though it was over each superstar would kick out of the pin and turn the table on their opponent.
This match could be seen as one of the most suspenseful WWE matches of all time.
2. WM 3: Ricky Steamboat vs. Randy Savage
If you are a fan of technically perfect wrestling matches, this is your kind of match. Randy 'Macho Man' Savage was a superstar who liked his matches to be well planned out and this match was an example of that.
The two superstars brought intensity and did not lose a step as the fast pace was pushed throughout the whole match. Every aspect of the match was executed to perfection and it included 19 near falls (two-counts).
This match is viewed by many as the greatest match of all time and stole the show at WrestleMania 3.
1. WM 13: Bret Hart vs. Steve Austin
One match that is basically a lock to be exciting is a 'No-DQ' match. Stone Cold Steve Austin and Bret Hart proved that to be true at WrestleMania 13. Bret Hart came in as the face and Stone Cold was the heel, but after this match, which Bret Hart was declared the winner, their roles switched.
This match was filled with the use of outside objects and Austin was cut open and bleeding from his head by the end of the match.
Although Austin never said the words "I quit," he passed out from the pain and loss of blood, so referee Ken Shamrock declared Hart the winner.
Austin may not have won the match, but his performance made him the new top guy in the company. This match sparked the 'Attitude Era' and was the birth of Stone Cold Steve Austin as the face of the company.
