Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
WHERE: Candlestick Park, San Francisco, CA
LINE: New Orleans -3.5
PREVIEW: The Saints broke the NFL record for yards from scrimmage and were second this season in points scored. The 49ers didn't allow a rushing touchdown or 100-yard rusher for 15 straight weeks to open the season.
That's all you really need to know about this matchup. It's going to be one great offense against one great defense for a trip to the NFC Championship game. In a season with offensive records going down left and right, can the 49ers make one last stand for defenses?
DENVER BRONCOS (9-8) AT NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS (13-3)
WHEN: Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. EST
WHERE: Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, MA
LINE: New England -13.5
PREVIEW: The focus will be on both quarterbacks, and rightly so. Tim Tebow, America's favorite player, is coming off a career performance against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the Wild Card Round that saw him throw for 316 yards and three scores. The last score went for 80 yards to put away the Steelers in overtime.
That Tom Brady guy isn't bad in his own right. When these two teams met in Week 15, Brady threw for 320 yards and two scores while leading New England to 41 points. In a typical NFL season, Brady's 5,235 yards and 41 touchdowns would have made him a shoe-in for the MVP.
