Why Tim Tebow Hate Is Fault of ESPN, Not Denver Broncos QB

Do you really hate Tim Tebow because of the man and quarterback he is, or because he's been drastically overhyped by America's media titans?

Think for a second. 

It shouldn't be hard to come to the clear-cut answer.

Tebow is a hard-working youngster trying to carve out a career in a hyper competitive field. He's playing to his strengths and attempting to improve upon his weaknesses. Sounds a lot like what thousands of Americans are experiencing today. 

Wouldn't it be nice if everyone went about it with unwavering faith like Tebow does?

He's proved critics wrong at each stage of his life and is enjoying success on the biggest stage. Since when do we as Americans, root against that?

That's not why you hate him.

Professional sports, most certainly the NFL, are all about dollar signs—especially for television networks and major media outlets.

ESPN dedicated SportsCenter to Tim Tebow this morning. 

It wasn't pure analysis of his game or predictions for this weekend's matchup with the Patriots. It was silly game show-like questions about his birthplace and mushy, slow-motion montages pieced together to elevate him to a level he has not realistically reached. 

Now, the worldwide leader isn't creating Tebow-mania out of nowhere. He was hyped out of high school. Hyped in college. Hyped entering the draft and hyped as an NFL starter. 

Sustained productivity yields this hype. 

It's the nature of media. 

While he certainly isn't a top-flight quarterback, his team has won games with him under center and they triumphed over the defending AFC champion last week. 

Why do so many hate the New York Yankees, Pittsburgh Steelers, and LeBron James?

Sustained success morphed into hype from the media. 

The Broncos are winning and No. 15 is getting some credit, just like he deserves blame when they lose. 

ESPN is just taking Tebow, a hot commodity, a trending topic and astronomically building him up in a calculated attempt to draw us in.

That's why you hate him.
