What's At Stake?

Just a spot in the NFC Championship Game and a potential Super Bowl appearance and a potential Lombardi Trophy.

This is the most important game of the year for both teams and they will be at each other’s throats for the entire night trying to scrape their way to the next round.

These teams met the last time the Giants won the Super Bowl in 2008 at Lambeau, but Brett Favre was the Packers quarterback then, and things are much different five years later.

Aaron Rodgers is trying to lead his team to a second straight Super Bowl and is a heavy favorite to do so, especially against the G-Men.

Eli Manning is trying to get his scrappy bunch past them, and the defense is sure they are going to win.

We’ll find out Sunday.

What They're Saying

Rob Reischel of The New York Times found that the Packers are having a rough time without their offensive coordinator, Joe Philbin, whose son tragically drowned this week.

"

I think he’s the heart and soul of our offense, the way he coaches and helps guys out,” said guard T.J. Lang, whose father died last week. “He’s all business, but he does like to have some fun. He has a great sense of humor.

"

Pete Dougherty of the Green Bay Press-Gazette found that coach Mike McCarthy respects what the Giants can do on offense.

"

“They’ve gotten into a very good run-pass mix,” said McCarthy of the Packers’ opponent Sunday. “Their receivers—the perimeter group is making three or four big plays a game with their shots (down the field). And really Eli has been consistent all year, especially in the fourth quarter.”

Giants Player to Watch: Jason Pierre-Paul

JPP is the man who guaranteed a Giants' win on Sunday; so all eyes will be on his ability to sack Aaron Rodgers and make the probable MVP’s day hell.

Should he fail, the Packers are going to easily win.

Packers Player to Watch: Greg Jennings

The star wide receiver is ready to make his triumphant return to the football field and wants to make sure he makes his mark on this game.

The Giants have a suspect secondary with the amount of injuries sustained throughout the year, which means he can certainly have a big day.

Key Matchup: Packers defense vs. Giants balanced offense.

If Ahmad Bradshaw and Brandon Jacobs can turn it on during the game, the Packers are going to have trouble defending the play action and deep throws from Eli Manning.

They are a big-play offense, and it’s up to the Packers’ defense to stop these home runs.
