That can't be sitting very well with Washington's version of the Duke of Earl—Daniel Snyder.
Okay, in the first Welcome Back Kotter move, Bruce Allen was hired as GM by Snyder. The kid from McLean comes home. It doesn't take an NFL insider to know that he's one half of the NFL's version of Jake and Elwood Blues—the other being one Jon Gruden.
Thus comes as no surprise that deposed Tampa Bay Buccaneer head coach Raheem Morris has been signed on as the new defensive backfield coach. A second Welcome Back Kotter move as Morris went from Tampa Bay's defensive backfield coach, to defensive coordinator, to head coach in a matter of a week once upon a time in Tampa.

The Daniel will most likely send Mike Shanahan packing after the 2012 season when Shanahan goes Philly with the Daniel's checkbook and signs a vast array of washed-up, big-name free agents and produces mediocre results.
Gruden told everyone earlier this month that he's staying at ESPN for 2012. Snyder cuts the $14 million check to Shanahan in 12 months and Allen is on the phone to his Siamese twin, Gruden.
"Hey Jon, we're putting the band back together!"

Gruden and Snyder then spent countless hours arguing over who is shorter.

Oakland and Tampa Bay found out that Gruden has a four-year shelf life, plain and simple.
After moderate success, in an amazing coup following the 2016 season, Gruden and Allen are sent packing and Raheem Morris is promoted to head coach of the Washington Redskins.

Morris, having learned from his mistakes in Tampa, carries the reputation of a disciplinarian. His teams thrive.
Raheem Morris leads the Washington Redskins to the Super Bowl in 2018.
It's a theory worthy of Washington.
