As a Metro web reporter tells us, after Podolski revealed his uncertainty regarding his future with his Bundesliga club, the Gunners were rumored to become heavily interested. However, since then Podolski has since stated his desire to stay with his club until the end of the season.   

In accordance with this, Arsenal now appear to be eyeing on landing him in the summer

There is no need for the Gunners to wait until the summer to make a move.

Better Options for Gunners 

While Thierry Henry has come in and alleviated the present need for a striker, that doesn't mean the Gunners should sit idly by and watch quality players land elsewhere. 

There are plenty of quality strikers that the Gunners can go for right now. Matias Suarez, Demba Ba and Salomon Kalou are all possible and instant solutions for the Gunners' striking needs. 

The Gunners have things going in a positive direction. Now is the time to make a move and ensure they keep that ball rolling.
