Newcastle striker Demba Ba is exactly what Manchester United needs to shake up their underperforming lineup.

The rumors circulating hint that this move—at the very least—a reality. Ba has a reasonably low buyout clause in his contract, and he has been the center of interest of numerous teams.

Sports Byte Sunderland reports the conditions of his release.

The release clause in his contract, which was confirmed by Doorn [part of Ba's management team] is understood to be less than £7 million, a fee which has reportedly attracted some of England’s top clubs as well as France’s Paris St-Germain.

The Red Devils are definitely among the interested teams.

What Demba Ba Brings to Table

Plain and simple, Ba brings scoring. He is having a fantastic campaign. He has started 17 EPL games this campaign and registered 15 goals.

No one else on Newcastle has more than three goals scored this season. Ba joined Newcastle this past summer on a free transfer from West Ham.

He is just 26 years old, and he is clearly coming into his own. He would add a dynamic and explosive option to any team he joins.

Red Devils Need

Ironically, the Red Devils' need for Ba was never more apparent as Ba and Newcastle throttled the Red Devils, 3-0, in their last Premier League match.

The Devils look slow and stale. They need to add some athleticism and speed. They need a striker to help take the scoring pressure off of Wayne Rooney. This will help spread the defensive attention and allow Manchester United to regain their explosiveness.

The Red Devils need to jump start this talented team, and there is no better way to do that than with Ba.
