FA CUP 2012: Thierry Henry Makes Sensational Return for Arsenal (Video)
Thierry Henry extended his own history book with the winning goal to send Arsenal through to the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Henry came off the bench and within 10 minutes, he received the ball from Song on his favourite left side and curled the ball with precision into the corner. The Emirates erupted, and Henry's emotional celebrations showed how much love he holds for the club. It was the perfect comeback!
As for Arsenal, well the win sets up a home game against Aston Villa. But this was not easy by any means. The Gunners passed the ball well enough but did lack imagination to create chances. The first half was frustrating.

Arshavin tried his best to rekindle his lost form. The Russian was instrumental in some of the Arsenal attacks but lacked accuracy to score himself. Chamakh seemed a surplus player on the pitch. He never really got into the game and did not have a shot on goal. He lacked confidence, and all hope is that Chamakh plays well in the African Nations Cup to give him a boost.
Chamberlain was fantastic yet again, and I think he will be a better winger than Theo Walcott. He drives at defenders and is not shy to go for goal. He is definitely one for the near future.
But the worry for Arsene Wenger was seeing that Arsenal lacked world-class offensive players to make a real difference when it matters. Henry is only back for two months, if anything happens to Van Persie then Arsenal could crumble yet again.
However the performance from Thierry Henry and his reaction should show the players at the club the true meaning of being a footballer. Playing the game for the love of it and playing for a club because you love every aspect of it. That's the difference that makes you a fighter and a winner.
You could see that Henry still has that "fire in the belly." And the young players at the club need to take example from such an experienced player. Jack Whilshere is the only youngster who seems to play for Arsenal with love and passion, and it is that desire that makes one stand out from the rest.
The future is always ahead, everyone will remember the 9th of January 2012 as the day the "King" made his sensational comeback to the club where he became a legend.
