NFL Playoff Predictions: Picks Against the Spread for All Divisional Round Games

Alex KayJun 7, 2018

Wild Card Weekend is over, and there are just seven games left of NFL action this season to get action on.

There are four games coming up in the divisional round for gamblers to still find some value before the conference championships are here and then the notoriously-tough Super Bowl.

Here are some picks for each game this coming weekend.

New Orleans Saints -3.5 at San Francisco 49ers

The Saints look like the best team in football right now. They are a threat to score every time Drew Brees and the offense get the ball, and their defense is opportunistic, just like their Super Bowl team in 2010.

Even with the game in San Francisco and factoring in their top-notch defense, you cannot pass up the value of laying 3.5 points against an inexperienced team that hasn’t been to the playoffs since 2002.

Denver Broncos +13.5 at New England Patriots

Tim Tebow looked excellent and wasn’t afraid to “pull the trigger” against the Steelers on Sunday night. They were rewarded with a win and a trip to New England to take on the Patriots.

While the Broncos may not get another Mile High miracle out at Gillette Stadium, they should be able to cover this large spread.

Teams win against the Patriots by pulling the trigger against their crummy pass rush and weak secondary and keeping Tom Brady off the field. The Broncos can do this.

Houston Texans +7.5 at Baltimore Ravens

Houston looked rock solid against the Bengals, and T.J. Yates did enough to manage the game and put the team in position to win behind their tough defense and great ground game.

Didn’t the Ravens win a Super Bowl like this in 2000 with Trent Dilfer?

Expect a close game that could go either way, but more than a single TD won’t decide it, so take that extra .5 and cash your ticket.

Green Bay Packers -8.5 vs. New York Giants

There is no way Green Bay loses to this Giants team that backed into the playoffs, and there is no way they do not blow them out.

Sure, they played a close one during the regular season, but fatigue was setting in for the Pack and they lost two games later to the weak Kansas City Chiefs.

Now, they have a fresh week of rest, and they will finally expose Eli Manning as a fraud.
