2012 NFL Draft Order: Teams in Top 10 That Must Draft Star Power
Star players in the NFL don't just make big plays to help their team win, they also put fans in the seats, which helps out the entire franchise.
Those teams that struggled this season and ended up with a Top 10 pick are in desperate need of upgrades all over the team.
Drafting some star power will do wonders, as it will help these depleted fans to get excited about next season.
With that said, here are three teams in the Top 10 that are in dire need of a star athlete.
Cleveland Browns
The fans in Cleveland are there through thick and thin, but they deserve a big-time player that will jazz up the Browns and bring more excitement to such a putrid team.
As an organization, the Browns must decide if Colt McCoy is the right guy at quarterback because it will shape how they approach the 2012 NFL draft.
With the No. 4 pick and also the No. 22 pick from Atlanta, the Browns have plenty of options. Their best bet at No. 4 is to take Robert Griffin III or a playmaking wide receiver such as Justin Blackmon, if available. Even Trent Richardson would be a good fit for them.
Cleveland needs a guy that can make plays at a moment's notice, which is why it has to use its first-round picks on big-time playmakers.
Jacksonville Jaguars
Last year, the Jaguars drafted whom they hope will be the savior of their franchise at quarterback. If they want that to come true, the Jaguars will need to get Blaine Gabbert another star.
Maurice Jones-Drew can't do it all on the ground for Jacksonville, which is why the Jaguars have to get Gabbert a playmaking wide receiver.
A big and speedy target will open up this offense and help them better achieve their goals. The only way the Jaguars will ever have any success in the AFC South is if they upgrade in the star department with the No. 7 pick.
Washington Redskins
The No. 6 pick in the draft gives the Redskins a lot of options, and they're definitely hoping one star in particular falls to them.
Washington would be better off trading up for Andrew Luck, but the Colts may not want to trade away the No. 1 pick.
This means the Redskins will look to Griffin III to solve all their problems, but he may or may not be available at No. 6. This is why Washington has to do everything it can to ensure it lands RGIII.
If the Redskins ever hope to win the NFC East, they need a legitimate quarterback. Rex Grossman and John Beck aren't cutting it, and if Mike Shanahan doesn't get his act together he may be losing his job soon.
With a better QB, the Redskins would be a sleeper team in the NFC.
