Tim Tebow Solidifies Denver Broncos' Starting Job in Win over the Steelers
Say what you want about him, but Tim Tebow has his first playoff win against the Pittsburgh Steelers. And with this win, both Johns, Fox and Elway, have no choice but to give Tebow the starting quarterback job past this season.
To win a NFL playoff game is an enormously important event in the career of a quarterback. And in his first full season, Tebow has accomplished just that.
It has seemed like a foregone conclusion that Denver would draft a quarterback come 2012, something that Mel Kiper Jr. and his big head will be screaming into the camera for the next three months. But I believe that thinking is jumping the gun.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Tebow made all the throws necessary to propel his team to victory. Like in most of his games, his numbers weren't pretty, but like in all of his wins, he made it happen when it mattered most.
And that is the stuff of a champion and whether or not Fox and Elway are impressed by his style of play, they can't deny the success he's had. That alone wins the Broncos quarterback the job past this season.
In talking about his statistics, I can easily make the case that there is room for improvement for Tebow. He's only played in 23 games during his tenure in the NFL, starting a little more than half of them.
Before taking over behind center this season, the NFL lockout prevented all NFL players, Tebow included, from getting the necessary time and reps they need to start a season. We've heard that reasoning being given all season; it should also apply to Tebow as well.
Not to mention, there won't be too many franchise-changing quarterbacks left when the Broncos are on the clock. At least not any that have the experience of winning an NFL playoff game.
All of these factors will be taken into consideration, stacking the deck in favor of Tebow having the job going into the 2012 season. Without this playoff win, however, we might be having a different conversation right now.
