WWE: How Kane Will Contribute to John Cena's Turn to the Dark Side?
The next few months are going to get very interesting.
It seems WWE is adapting a major chapter of the Star Wars Universe to suit their own ambitions.
John Cena, the resident Jedi Master, is being tempted to cross over into the dark side by none other than our favorite little demon, Kane.
For years now, the "Cena sucks" chant has been raging within the crowd but never like in the last few months, where it has become practically deafening and finally acknowledged by yours truly, John Cena himself.
His new motto of "Rise Above Hate" will now be put to the test beyond measure and even though SuperCena vows to stay true to his word, the seeds have already been planted, and they will grow to the point where he will not have a choice in calling on that power for aid.
There is no turning back now.
It's Only a Matter of Time Before This Moniker Fails
1 of 5John Cena is a very powerful character, in both mind and body.
His "Rise Above Hate" motto is a very noble path to follow. There is so much hate and jealousy in this world. While lesser men and women fail every day in containing their rage, John Cena smiles and does away with his critics and oppressors.
While that is a superb feat accomplished only by few others, he is still human and has his limits. No one is immune to temptation and in this case, it may take a long time, but eventually, the constant attacks by Kane and the fans will take its toll on our hero and he will fall.
Be careful what you wish for, however, as John Cena's turn to darkness may end up being a dangerous mistake.
Kane Will Win the Feud
2 of 5If built up properly, this could become one of John Cena's greatest tests, as he now must battle the flames of hell itself and its legions of demons.
Insert the fans in the audience here as the demons. Their genuine dislike for Cena will only aid Kane in his quest and fuel his desire for ultimate victory.
What happens generally when we cannot defeat someone or surmount a challenge? We start getting frustrated. Frustration can lead to anger and that is a very powerful, dark emotion. Kane is a smart character, and he knows facing and beating John Cena could be an impossible task, but he will study and learn.
In the end, this war will have consumed so much of both superpowers and while Kane may be destroyed, his hold on Cena will remain as the latter enters his program against The Rock.
A program he cannot win unless he makes use of some new weapons at his disposal. Kane's gifts always come with a price.
No One Will Ever Choose John Cena over the People's Champion
3 of 5WrestleMania XXVIII is Miami.
The Rock is from Miami.
The Rock has been the People's Champion since the late '90s. Everyone loves him. Genuinely.
John Cena is the leader of the Cenation, which doesn't appeal to anyone over the age of 14 except women...oh yes, and the armed forces!
On April 1st, the odds favor The Rock, as most of the positives will be his to command. That leaves enormous pressure on John Cena, and like all others, he has an ego. He will want to win like any other man. That's when he'll act like any other man and fall.
Original sin, baby. No one is immune.
He might just go ahead and tap into all that darkness. Should he do that, John Cena would become the most powerful character in history. Way beyond Hulk Hogan or The Undertaker.
In getting what they "wished for," the WWE Universe will have unleashed a monster no one could ever stop.
All May Not Be as It Seems
4 of 5All this talk about a John Cena heel turn makes me wonder.
He may never "turn" as everyone expects him to. In the end, he may very well follow his own words and hustle-loyalty-and-respect his way out. A "to hell with you all" kind of thing. I cannot believe I am writing this, but it could very well be like what Sting had done in the past when he was doubted by his fans and peers in the war against the NWO.
The former leader of Cenation would become a loner, a man who walks alone in the shadow, devoid of all care. That wouldn't make him the hero he once was, but neither would he be tainted with darkness.
He would seek out the best and take them down. He would capture the WWE Championship and hold onto it by any means necessary. None of this would make him evil and it would all be on our hands for we were the ones who asked for it.
Funny thing, this hate and jealousy stuff.
A Lesson for All Mankind, Perhaps?
5 of 5Sometimes you cannot escape your fate.
In turning away from the fans, John Cena may become the ultimate villain on the outside, but on the inside, he might just yearn to find redemption.
Kane's plans and victory would all have been in vain because a redeemed man is worth far more than a pure man in the eyes of Heaven.
Through all his hard work, the Devil's favorite demon would only have enabled John Cena to become the greatest character in history because if the superhero can rise and fall and get back up again, he will have won the greatest victory of all.
It would serve a lesson to us all who only wish to bring John Cena down. In giving in to petty jealousy and hatreds that pray upon our heart, we only destroy ourselves, in which case there can be no real victory.
This program between these two icons...we should all watch with great interest.
