Report: Tom Brady's Fox NFL Commentator Contract Could Top $375M Due to Stock Options

Timothy RappFeb 3, 2025

Tom Brady's 10-year deal with Fox may ultimately be worth more than the initial $375 million that was reported.

According to Andrew Marchand of The Athletic, "Shortly after [Brady signed with Fox in 2022], it was revealed by sources briefed on the contract that the deal was for 10 years and $375 million. While Fox initially denied the numbers reported that day, [CEO Lachlan Murdoch] later told Axios the report was 'directionally right.' It turns out, the contract has stock options, according to sources with knowledge of the deal, and Fox has performed well so, at this point, the deal may end up being north of $375 million."

Brady earned mixed reviews in his first season as a broadcaster, and his dual roles as both a color commentator for Fox and minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders caused concerns over potential conflicts of interest (though the NFL imposed specific rules on Brady as a broadcaster, which include banning him from being at the team facilities of organizations other than the Raiders).

Regardless, Brady is earning major money in the role, potentially even more than initially expected.
