Triple H Teases Bad Bunny's WWE In-Ring Return

WWE head of creative Triple H took to X on Thursday to both congratulate Bad Bunny on his new album and perhaps foreshadow his return to the world of pro wrestling.
Triple H gave props to Bad Bunny for his Debí Tirar Más Fotos album while also painting the mental picture of Bad Bunny making his way down the aisle to a WWE ring with one of his new songs playing in the background:
The Game ended his post with, "Talk soon," which seems to suggest he has some ideas in mind for how to utilize Bad Bunny in the future.
It is likely no coincidence that Triple H's comments came shortly after Bad Bunny went public with his desire to have another match in WWE.
This week, in an interview with Julyssa Lopez of Rolling Stone (h/t Subhojeet Mukherjee of Ringside News), Bad Bunny discussed his future WWE aspirations, saying:
"I want to do it one more time. I want to put my life at risk in the ring. I felt like I didn't risk it enough in the ring, and I want to do it. I want to scare my mother When? I don't know. We stay in contact with the people at WWE, we're always paying attention to what's going on. But when, I don't know. I hope there's a time where I can really get ready, like I did the last few times. And I'd love to take more time to get ready physically."
The multi-time Grammy Award winner is a longtime WWE fan who made his in-ring debut at WrestleMania 37 in 2021, teaming with Damian Priest to beat The Miz and John Morrison.
Bad Bunny also competed in the 2022 men's Royal Rumble match, but his most notable bout came at Backlash 2023 in his home country of Puerto Rico.
He defeated Priest in a street fight, putting on a critically acclaimed performance despite it being his first-ever one-on-one match in pro wrestling.
Bad Bunny has both a love and a talent for wrestling, and when considering how massive of a fanbase he has thanks to his music, it makes all the sense in the world for Triple H and WWE to want him back in the fold.
Reigns Reportedly Tops WWE Merch Sales in December
Roman Reigns reportedly had two of the three highest-selling pieces of WWE merchandise during the month of December.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter (h/t Mukherjee), Reigns' OTC T-shirt was the No. 1-selling item for the month, while his OTC hoodie was No. 3.
The John Cena Farewell Tour T-shit was second, CM Punk's Best in the World T-shirt was fourth and Cody Rhodes' American Nightmare hoodie ranked fifth.
After dropping the WWE Championship to Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania 40, Reigns took about four months off, and Rhodes was the unquestioned face of the company during his absence.
However, Reigns returned at SummerSlam and has made fairly regular appearances ever since, building toward the road to WrestleMania 41.
On the debut episode of Raw on Netflix, Reigns beat Solo Sikoa for the Ula Fala and the title of Tribal Chief. After the match, The Rock showed his respect for Reigns by placing the Ula Fala around his neck.
Reigns' Wiseman, Paul Heyman, subsequently announced that the OTC is entering the 2025 men's Royal Rumble match and plans to win it so he can challenge Rhodes for the WWE Championship.
While it seems unlikely that WWE will go with a Reigns vs. Rhodes WrestleMania main event for a third consecutive year, Reigns' status as WWE's top star should ensure that he is part of a huge match on the Grandest Stage of Them All regardless.
WWE Reportedly Planning Draft for After WrestleMania 41
Despite WWE's recent talk of a transfer window, there are reportedly still plans in place to hold a WWE draft in the relatively near future.
According to PWInsider.com's Mike Johnson, last word on a draft was that the next one would take place some time after WrestleMania 41.
The original WWE draft took place in 2002 as part of the brand split, and it was held almost annually through 2011. The draft returned in 2016, and it has happened every year since then besides 2022.
Since the past two drafts started in late April, shortly after WrestleMania, it would make sense for the 2025 draft to occur at around the same time.
WWE recently added an interesting wrinkle to the brand split, though, by introducing the transfer window.
During the transfer window, Raw Superstars have regularly appeared on SmackDown and vice versa, living the door open for some wrestlers to switch brands.
It seems likely that WWE introduced the transfer window as a means of reshuffling the roster in a way that will make it easier to set up and build toward WrestleMania matches.
Since the WWE creative team likely has a good idea at this point of what the WrestleMania card will look like, the transfer moves could provide some clues for what is in the works.
The WrestleMania aftermath serves as a reset for most Superstars, though, so there is plenty of reason to hold a draft even with the transfer window currently in place.
