WWE, TNA Announce Multiyear Partnership; Will Create 'Crossover Opportunities'

WWE and TNA Wrestling announced Thursday that they have officially entered into a multiyear partnership.

In a joint statement, it was noted that the working relationship is being done with an eye toward "creating unprecedented crossover opportunities within WWE and TNA programming for NXT Superstars and TNA Wrestling Stars."

The statement added that the partnership will also "enable talent to garner additional exposure" in both WWE and TNA through appearances on WWE NXT, TNA Impact and select WWE and TNA premium live events.

While not official until now, the WWE-TNA affiliation began last January when then-TNA Knockouts world champion Jordynne Grace appeared as a surprise entrant in the 2024 women's Royal Rumble match.

Grace has since made additional WWE appearances, including unsuccessfully challenging Roxanne for the NXT Women's Championship at Battleground in June.

Also, TNA's Joe Hendry made several stops in NXT, and he too had a title opportunity, losing an NXT Championship match against Ethan Page at No Mercy in September.

Many other TNA stars have shown up in NXT over the past year as well, including Zachary Wentz, Trey Miguel, Rosemary, Hammerstone and Frankie Kazarian.

On this week's episode of NXT, reigning TNA Knockouts world champion Masha Slamovich was shown in the front row observing the action.

Many NXT stars have made crossover appearances in NXT as well, such as Wes Lee, Charlie Dempsey, Arianna Grace, Tatum Paxley, Wendy Choo and a host of others.

With the Royal Rumble set for Feb. 1 in Indianapolis, it is fair to wonder if the WWE-TNA partnership will yield more surprise Rumble entrants from TNA.
