The Rock, John Cena Among Stars at WWE Raw on Netflix Debut; Top Videos, Photos

Monday marked a new era for WWE.

After decades of airing Raw on a traditional television broadcast, WWE made its streaming debut on Netflix from the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.

The event featured Roman Reigns vs. Sola Sikoa in Tribal combat for the ula fala and title of Tribal Chief, Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley for the women's world championship, Drew McIntyre vs. Jey Uso and CM Punk vs. Seth "Freakin" Rollins.

Naturally, such an event had plenty of stars in attendance, including The Rock, John Cena, Hulk Hogan and Shawn Michaels.

The Rock was welcomed by an excited crowd in Los Angeles.

The Rock got the night started by thanking Netflix while also poking fun at the streaming service, saying he better not be "glitched."

"Before we get this show on the road, a couple of people I want to acknowledge," he said. "First, when you think about great partners, you've got to have the right partner who not only loves WWE and loves professional wrestling and they see the bigger picture. And that partner is Netflix."

He also showed love to WWE champion Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns before kicking things off with his signature catchphrase.

Cena, who kicked off his farewell tour on Monday, came out with a towel that read "The last time is now," a spin on his signature walk-out song.

Cena also announced that he'll be competing in the men's Royal Rumble in February.

Overall, it's safe to say the first Monday Night Raw on Netflix had plenty of star power and it will be interesting to see what the new era for WWE has in store.
