New York Knicks vs. Detroit Pistons: TV Schedule, Live Stream, Spread Info
The New York Knicks and Detroit Pistons will be looking to get their season's going in the right direction on Saturday night after both teams have started the season in disappointing fashion.
The Knicks are second to last in the Atlantic division and the Detroit Pistons are at the bottom of the Central division.
Detroit scores the fewest points per game in the league at 84.9, and are the fourth worst rebounding team in the NBA. New York is third to last in rebounding and are also having trouble on defense as they are allowing the third most points per game in basketball.
Expect a lot of scoring and not a lot of defense in this exciting matchup. Let's look at a complete preview.

Key Injuries
Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony and Jared Jeffries are questionable for Saturday's game with a groin and calf injury, respectively.
Pistons guard Rodney Stuckey is doubtful for Saturday's game with a groin injury.
What's at stake?
For the Knicks they need to start developing a better team chemistry. Tyson Chandler still does not look comfortable with the Knicks in their offense, and he has to get it going or the team will really suffer defensively.
The Pistons really have to turn things around quickly if they want to get out of the cellar in the Central division. They need to find some scoring badly, but with Rodney Stuckey doubtful there will have to be another guard that steps up and performs.
What They're Saying
After beating the Washington Wizards this week, Knicks head coach Mike D'Antoni wasn't satisfied, saying via ESPN:
"We're a long ways from being any good, but we have the spirit and we are fighting," coach Mike D'Antoni said.
Pistons coach Lawrence Frank recently talked about his communication with his players.
""Confrontation is healthy," Frank said this week. "Confrontation isn't always negative. You can confront something that's positive as well. I think you just need to address it. That's my personality. Put it out there, say it as it is and go from there."

Player to watch for Knicks: Iman Shumpert
Rookie guard Iman Shumpert is making the case to start in Mike D'Antoni's lineup as the young player brings an offensive spark to the team when he's on the floor.
His shooting range is very good and he has enough quickness needed to blow by defenders and get to the basket.
Shumpert also adds versatility to the Knicks lineup with his ability to play both point and shooting guard. Watch Shumpert on Saturday and pay close attention to the scoring boost he gives the team.
Player to watch for the Pistons: Ben Gordon
Veteran shooting guard Ben Gordon has been a major disappointment since signing a free agent contract with the Detroit Pistons in the summer of 2009.
Gordon currently leads the team in scoring with just 16.2 points per game, and needs to give the team more offensively for the Pistons to climb out of last place.
Key Matchup: Tyson Chandler vs. Ben Wallace
The matchup at center in this game features two solid defensive stars in Knicks center Tyson Chandler and Pistons center Ben Wallace.
Their energy and defense really gets their team going and if they don't have that fire it can infect the team as a whole.
Chandler was paid a lot of money in the offseason to give the Knicks an intimidating presence in the paint, but he has not been that this season.
When he plays well, the Knicks have a great chance to beat any team in the NBA.
Prediction: Knicks win 95-79
This is going to be a massive win for the Knicks because the Pistons have no one to guard Carmelo Anthony on the perimeter or Amare Stoudemire in the paint.
New York has too much scoring for Detroit defend and I would be shocked if the Knicks don't win by more than 10. They are a motivated team that knows they can play better, and against an inferior opponent, the Knicks have a chance to get a confidence boosting win.
Without Stuckey at full strength, Detroit will not get enough scoring to be competitive in this game.
