Video: Jake Paul Slams Conor McGregor, Says He's 'Scared' and Will 'Never' Take Fight

Riding high after an ugly victory over former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, Jake Paul used his post-fight press conference to call out Conor McGregor.

Asked if he would ever step in the ring for a boxing match with McGregor, Paul said the former UFC champ would "never" do it because he's "scared" of what might happen.

Paul followed that up with a post on X challenging McGregor to an MMA fight with no weight class.

Paul and McGregor have been feuding through the press and social media for a long time. There is no indication they will ever square off either in a boxing match or mixed martial arts event, but if the money offers get high enough, who knows what could happen.

It was unusual that Paul tried to use Nate Diaz as a point of comparison for what might happen if he were to fight McGregor.

McGregor and Diaz had a mixed martial arts fight, which is the natural discipline for both men. McGregor also moved up in weight class to fight at 170 pounds after spending the bulk of his career competing at featherweight and lightweight.

Diaz was also 31 years old at the time of his second fight with McGregor at UFC 202. The Notorious One lost the first bout via submission before winning the rematch by majority decision.

Paul's fight with Diaz marked the first boxing match of Diaz's entire professional career, and he was 38 years old.

There's also the fact that McGregor's only experience as a boxer came against someone who was still close to their prime. He lost via 10th-round TKO to Floyd Mayweather Jr. in August 2017.

Paul has only had one fight sanctioned of at most 10 rounds. It was his bout against Diaz that he won via unanimous decision. Each of his last four bouts have been sanctioned for eight rounds, including his match with Tyson on Friday.
