FSU Offense Trolled By CFB Fans After Turnovers on 3 Consecutive Plays vs. Duke

Florida State's offensive struggles were on full display during a matchup with Duke on Friday night.

The Seminoles became the first FBS team to turn the ball over on three consecutive plays this season. In the first half, quarterback Brock Glenn threw an interception that was returned for a touchdown by Blue Devils cornerback Chandler Rivers.

Glenn fumbled the ball after attempting to scramble on the opening play of the next drive. He was then picked off for a second time by linebacker Ozzie Nicholas.

Fans called out the dismal offensive performance.

It's been a rough season for head coach Mike Norvell's team, heading into Friday's contest with a 1-5 record.

The Seminoles initially entered the year with College Football Playoff aspirations, sitting at No. 10 in the first AP Top 25 poll.

Florida State's CFP hopes quickly faded, starting the season with a three-game losing streak. After scoring 21 points in an Aug. 24 loss to Georgia Tech, the Seminoles were held under 20 points in each of their next five appearances.

Norvell's squad is averaging just 14.8 points and recording 273.5 total yards per game this season, with both representing the lowest marks among all ACC teams. While Florida State dealt with several key departures over the offseason that included quarterback Jordan Travis, the team's offensive futility is still surprising after winning 13 games last season.

DJ Uiagalelei started under center for Florida State to begin the year, completing just 53.8 percent of his passes and throwing six interceptions in five games before he suffered a hand injury that ultimately required surgery.

Glenn started against No. 10 Clemson on Oct. 5, finishing 23-of-41 for 228 yards and two touchdowns compared to an interception.

As the Seminoles attempt to earn their second win of the season, turnovers prevented them from making an impact in the first half on Friday.
