WWE Rumors: Asuka Signs New Multi-Year Contract amid Injury Rehab After Knee Surgery
WWE Superstar Asuka hasn't been seen in quite some time after undergoing knee surgery earlier this summer, but she reportedly will be staying put for the foreseeable future.

Asuka last wrestled in May at the Backlash France premium live event when she teamed with Kairi Sane and lost the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships to Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill. She was forced to withdraw from the Queen of the Ring Tournament and underwent knee surgery in June. She detailed her rehabilitation journey on her YouTube channel later that month, posting a video of her workouts and making it clear that she's determined to return to the ring.
Asuka's recovery appears to be progressing well, as she was seen walking without crutches during a WWE live event in Japan in July.
Still, it's unclear as to when exactly the 42-year-old will be able to return to the ring. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select (h/t H. Jenkins of Ringside News) reported earlier this summer that she was not expected to be back before the end of 2024.
Asuka has long been considered one of the best women's wrestlers on the planet. A three-time WWE women's champion, she is a Triple Crown and Grand Slam winner as well, having held every title available in WWE during her tenure.
Fans will certainly be excited to watch Asuka continue her legendary career in WWE when she returns to full health.
