Aaron died in January 2021 at age 86. He spent nearly his entire career with the Milwaukee/Atlanta Braves franchise from 1954 to 1974, retiring as Major League Baseball's all-time home runs leader. He remains MLB's all-time RBI leader with 2,297.
There are some who still consider Aaron the rightful home run leader because Barry Bonds, the man who surpassed him, used performance-enhancing drugs during his record-setting career.
MLB and the Braves previously honored Aaron this year by announcing a $100,000 endowment at Tuskegee University.
As part of Hank Aaron Week, the Braves will host a showcase of 44 athletes on Saturday. Aaron wore No. 44 during his playing career.
