
San Francisco Marathon Results 2024: Men's and Women's Top Finishers
Distance runners took over the Bay Area on Sunday for the 2024 San Francisco Marathon.
More than 31,000 runners descended on the streets at 5:15 a.m. in hopes of completing the marathon, and some displayed some extra speed. 29-year-old Charlie Lawrence of Boulder, CO won the men's division with a time of 2:22.30, while the fastest women's finisher was 24-year-old Jenna Wolfrum with a time of 2:52.10.

Other notable finishers include San Francisco natives Michael Vernau and Jack Rager, who finished second and third in the men's division with times of 2:28.19 and 2:31.58 respectively.
Itzu Villarce of Mexico finished second in the women's division with a time of 2:55.12, while Sara Bagnell was the top San Francisco native with a sixth place finish and a time of 3:05.41.
Lawrence had an average pace of 5:26. His overall time did not beat his personal best of 2:16. However, it did beat the time of last year's winner, Brice Daubord, who finished that race with a time of 2:26.17.
The runner's will hope to use the qualifying times from this race in order to qualify for the Boston Marathon as well as other notable races.
