Dirk Nowitzki Video: Watch Dirk's Epic Dramatic Reading of Britney Spears Lyrics

Oops, Dirk Nowitzki did it again.

Infamous for moments such as “Take that with you!” and killing a bug at a press conference, Nowitzki brings joy to our life once again with his rendition of a Britney Spears, um, classic.

As you can tell in the video embedded above, he takes this task very seriously.

Dirk starts by putting on his reading classic for a special edition of A Dramatic Reading. He proceeds to read the lyrics to one of Spears' hits in a hilarious fashion. It's tough for a 30-second video to be funny simply because of the length, but that wasn't a problem for Nowitzki.

There are so many elements that make the video awesome.

First and foremost is Dirk's accent. Bringing that foreign flair to a Spears hit while maintaining a straight face is something I'd never thought the world would get a chance to see. It makes you think about other songs Nowitzki should feature.

Then there's the snobbish background music. It's something you would expect to hear at a high-class event or, in other words, a place where you'd never hear a Spears song. Just think about a bunch of entitled people standing around listening to that song and you can't help but to laugh.

And you can't forget about Dirk's robe. It really completes the character. Too bad the video didn't come out until after Christmas because the whole family would have loved to gather around “Papa Nowitzki's” fireplace to hear a new millennium favorite.

In all seriousness, it's great to see a professional athlete have some fun. Little things like this is why Nowitzki has become a fan favorite. Hopefully there are more episodes to come in the future because this one will probably become a YouTube sensation.
