WWE Rumors: Ricochet's Contract Expires This Summer amid Becky Lynch, Chad Gable Buzz
Amid several WWE Superstars reportedly being on the verge of free agency, Ricochet is reportedly set to have his WWE contract expire soon as well.
According to Fightful Select (h/t Steve Carrier of Ringside News), Ricochet signed a five-year contract with WWE in 2019, and the deal has nearly reached its conclusion, as it will end this summer.
Fightful added that while contract negotiations are expected to take place between Ricochet and WWE, he could soon be free to sign elsewhere if a new deal isn't reached.

It was previously reported this week by Fightful Select (h/t WrestlingInc's Sam Palmer) that Chad Gable's WWE contract is up next week, and that Becky Lynch's deal expires on Saturday.
Ricochet, 35, first signed with WWE in 2018 after enjoying enormous success in several other wrestling companies, including New Japan Pro-Wrestling and Lucha Underground.
Heralded as one of the best high flyers in wrestling, Ricochet was instantly pushed as a top star on WWE's NXT brand, winning the North American Championship once before getting called up to the main roster.
Although Ricochet has been a victim of start-and-stop pushes on the main roster, he has achieved his fair share of major accolades, including being a one-time United States champion and intercontinental champion.
He is also the inaugural and reigning WWE Speed champion, which is a title defended exclusively on X in a series of matches with a five-minute time limit.
In recent weeks, Ricochet has been embroiled in a rivalry with recent NXT call-ups Ilja Dragunov and Bron Breakker.
Ricochet lost to Dragunov on May 6 and then beat him by disqualification on May 27 when Breakker interfered and hit him with a spear.
Ricochet's fiancé, Samantha Irvin, is a ring announcer on Raw, so it is fair to wonder if her status with WWE will impact Ricochet's desire to re-sign with the company.
If Ricochet does test free agency, he will undoubtedly generate interest from multiple wrestling companies, including AEW, NJPW and TNA.
