B/R AM: Mets: Down Bad

Samuel Evers
May 31, 2024

Statement that transcends specific years: The Mets are not having a good time.

They're 22-33 and 10-25 in their last 35, but it got worse last night, when RP Jorge Lopez ...

  • Got ejected in a game the Mets were losing
  • Tossed his glove into the stands
  • Got DFA'd after a viral postgame media session, where he was misquoted as calling the Mets 'the worst f--king team'

(A fan got a cool souvenir, though.)

Also yesterday, Edwin Diaz went to the IL and the team's plan for a casino next door hit a snag.

All bad news right now for the most expensive team in the league.
