Josh Jacobs Texted Davante Adams About Returning to Packers After RB's Raiders Exit
After leaving the Las Vegas Raiders to sign with the Green Bay Packers this offseason, star running back Josh Jacobs was hoping to bring one of his former teammates along with him.
Jacobs revealed to reporters Wednesday that after he signed his four-year deal with the Packers, he texted star receiver Davante Adams to jokingly gauge his interest in returning to Green Bay.
"When I came out here ... I sent him the little eyes emoji," Jacobs said. "I said, 'You thinking about coming back?' But man, he loved it."

NFL draft trade ideas for every pick
Adams spent the first eight seasons of his career with the Packers before being traded to the Raiders prior to the 2022 season. The six-time Pro Bowler finished with over 1,000 receiving yards in both of his seasons in Las Vegas, though his consistency is not the same as it was when he was in Green Bay and a member of one of the best tandems in franchise history with quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who is now with the New York Jets.
Adams is set to make $25.3 million in the 2024 season and has two more non-guaranteed years remaining on his contract, so it wouldn't be easy for him to force his way out of Sin City even if it was what he desired.
Adams told Raiders teammate Maxx Crosby last month on The Rush with Maxx Crosby show (starts at 1:50 mark), that he will "never regret anything" even if his "career went to s--t" after leaving Green Bay.
Jacobs noted that despite not having Adams follow him to Green Bay, he's hyped about the talent around him.
"The receiving corps is crazy, man. I'm so excited just watching them," Jacobs said. "Any one of them can go at any moment."
