A consistent theme has run across Caitlin Clark's rookie season with the Indiana Fever so far.
The No. 1 overall draft pick, who reportedly signed with Nike, has worn one of Kobe Bryant's signature kicks when stepping onto the court.
Clark will have her own signature shoe soon enough. The Athletic's Shams Charania, Mike Vorkunov and Ben Pickman reported in April she agreed to a deal with Nike, spurning interest from Adidas and Under Armour. Her own dedicated sneaker is expected to be part of the endorsement.
Clark has endured a somewhat rocky start to her WNBA career. The Fever are 0-5 and their star guard is encountering the natural adjustment period that comes when jumping from college to the pros. She's averaging 17.8 points on 40.3 percent shooting, including 32.6 percent from deep, and she has dished out an equal number of assists and turnovers (29).
Next up for Indiana is the Los Angeles Sparks, who are also going through a bit of a rebuild/reset, so it could be a great time for the team and Clark to start kicking things into gear.
