Commanders' Jayden Daniels, Giants' Malik Nabers Have $10K Bet Over NFL ROY Award
Former LSU teammates Jayden Daniels and Malik Nabers have a friendly wager in place regarding the 2024 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Award.
During an appearance this week on All Facts No Breaks with Keyshawn Johnson (beginning at the 40:28 mark), Daniels confirmed that he and Nabers have a bet hanging in the balance:

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
When asked how much the bet was for, Daniels said, "10," which one can assume means $10,000.
Daniels is coming off one of the greatest seasons by a quarterback in college football history, as he completed 72.2 percent of his passes for 3,812 yards, 40 touchdowns and four interceptions, while also rushing for 1,134 yards and 10 scores en route to winning the Heisman Trophy.
Nabers played a significant role in Daniels' historic season, as he was the Tigers' top receiver with 89 receptions for 1,569 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Daniels was the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft to the Washington Commanders, going behind only USC quarterback Caleb Williams, who the Chicago Bears took first overall.
Given that the Commanders traded Sam Howell to the Seattle Seahawks and let Jacoby Brissett leave in free agency, all signs point to Daniels being their starting quarterback right away.
Thanks to his dual-threat nature and a group of weapons that includes wide receivers Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson, as well as running back Austin Ekeler, Daniels will have a chance to produce as a rookie.
As for Nabers, he went sixth overall to the Commanders' NFC East rivals in the New York Giants.
The second wideout off the board behind Ohio State's Marvin Harrison Jr. to the Arizona Cardinals at No. 4, Nabers should immediately step in as New York's No. 1 receiver.
While the Giants have several solid and promising wide receivers, including Jalin Hyatt, Darius Slayton and Wan'Dale Robinson, Nabers' talent is at another level, and he figures to be the favorite target of quarterback Daniel Jones or Drew Lock right away.
A quarterback or wide receiver has won the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Award in each of the past five seasons, so both Daniels and Nabers have a strong chance to be in the mix and secure a handsome $10K payday.
