Michigan vs. Indiana: TV Schedule, Live Stream, Spread Info and More

Andrew KulhaJun 7, 2018

The Michigan Wolverines and Indiana Hoosiers are trying to work their way up the rankings and back on top of the college basketball world.

This is going to be a Big Ten basketball showdown of epic proportions.

The Hoosiers are a surprising 13-1 and come in with impressive wins over Kentucky and Notre Dame. They did lose to No. 17 Michigan State though, so getting back at the state of Michigan will certainly be on their minds.

The Wolverines enter the game at 12-2 with losses to No. 6 Duke and Virginia. With huge showdowns with Wisconsin and Michigan State coming up, this game becomes integral for the Wolverines.

Both teams are looking to establish themselves in the Big Ten, but they are also trying to make a splash nationally.

This should lead to a must-watch basketball game.

What's at Stake?

The Wolverines are coming into this game ranked No. 13 nationally, while the Hoosiers are No. 12. I shouldn't have to say much more to impress upon you the implications of this matchup.

Not only is the Big Ten becoming a basketball powerhouse, but they are starting to get some national recognition. The winner of this game will receive a ton of hype.

What They're Saying: Anthony Fenech of the Detroit Free Press writes about Michigan freshman point guard Trey Burke and the major addition that he's been to the Wolverines offense. So much so that head coach John Beilein has changed the offense to fit him.

ESPN's Dick Vitale writes on the newfound respect the Hoosiers have found nationally. Their resume includes impressive wins over Kentucky, Ohio State and Butler among others.

Michigan Player to Watch:

Sophomore guard Tim Hardaway Jr. is going to be the guy to watch for the Wolverines. He's averaging 15.6 points, three rebounds and 2.8 assists per game and has the ability to take over the court.

If the Wolverines want to win this huge road test they are going to have to lean on Hardaway Jr.

Indiana Player to Watch:

Freshman forward Cody Zeller is a beast, and he's going to play a huge role in this game.

He's averaging 14.2 points and 6.7 rebounds a game and is a force down on the block. Indiana can control this game and their home-court advantage by utilizing Zeller down low.

Key Matchup:

How is freshman point guard Trey Burke going to handle playing this road game in what is sure to be a very crazy atmosphere?

He's been a huge part of the Wolverines' success this season, so it will be interesting to see how he responds to the bright lights and fanfare of this game.

Prediction:

I like Michigan to pull off the mini-upset on the road.

Michigan 73, Indiana 69
