NFL Draft 2024 Rumors: Malik Nabers to Visit Jets, Bears, Titans This Week
LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers will visit the Tennessee Titans on Monday and has Top 30 visits with the New York Jets on Tuesday and the Chicago Bears on Wednesday, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
The Titans hold the No. 7 pick in the draft, the Jets have the No. 10 pick and the Bears have the top pick as well as the No. 9 pick.
Nabers, who spent three seasons at LSU, is widely considered to be a top-10 pick after an outstanding year with the Tigers.
In 2023, he had the second-most receiving yards in the NCAA with 1,569 as well as 14 touchdowns. His junior season marked back-to-back years with 1,000+ receiving yards and he is LSU's all-time leading receiver.
Bleacher Report's Scouting Department considers Nabers to be the No. 7 overall prospect and the No. 2 wide receiver in this year's draft class, only behind Ohio State's Marvin Harrison Jr.
In B/R's latest mock draft, Nabers is projected to land with the Atlanta Falcons with the No. 8 pick.
Each of the teams mentioned would be a good landing spot for Nabers. For the Titans, Nabers could come in and give Tennessee another threat down the field alongside DeAndre Hopkins and Calvin Ridley.
Like the Titans, the Jets already have an outstanding receiver in Garrett Wilson, but adding Nabers would give Aaron Rodgers another target as the team looks to be a playoff contender next season.
It is expected the Bears will draft star quarterback Caleb Williams with the first overall pick, but having the No. 9 pick gives them some creativity. Chicago made a big move in the offseason, picking up star wide receiver Keenan Allen to supplement its offense. If the Bears add Nabers, that's just another talented target for Williams to throw to as he gets acclimated in the league.
