Arsenal Transfer News: Moussa Sow and the Biggest Difference Makers on Market

Tim DanielsJun 5, 2018

Transfer windows are always an exciting time for fans because there are endless rumors and speculation about what teams are going to do. That's especially true for Arsenal supporters in January, who are hoping Arsene Wenger makes some moves to keep the team trending in the right direction.

Here are three players that could be on the move and would make a big impact on the Gunners.

Moussa Sow

One of Wenger's main goals during the window should be attempting to take some pressure off Robin van Persie up front. He's been in terrific form lately, but he's going to need some more help eventually and Sow would certainly provide that if he were to arrive from Lille.

The 25-year-old striker really came into his own last season en route to scoring 25 goals and he's carried that over to this campaign. Sow has developed confidence in front of goal, which has allowed him to take his game to the next level.

Loic Remy

Remy has always drawn interest from Wenger and might finally be ready to make the jump to the Premier League. He's always had a nose for goal but has really developed his distribution game in recent seasons in hopes of becoming the complete package.

He would seem like the perfect fit to play alongside van Persie because his pace would stretch the defense and open up even more space in the attacking third. His presence would also take a lot of pressure off secondary scorers like Theo Walcott.

Marcel Schmelzer

Schmelzer would be the perfect fit for Arsenal's defense, which has improved since the beginning of the campaign, but could still use another upgrade or two in the short term. The Borussia Dortmund left back has made major strides during his short career.

He would add some much-needed depth to the back line and should only continue to improve in the coming years. Bringing in underrated players like Schmelzer before their value peaks is the hallmark of a great manager.
