WWE SummerSlam 2024 Announced for Cleveland Browns Stadium in August

United States champion Logan Paul announced Tuesday on his Impaulsive podcast that WWE SummerSlam will be held at Cleveland Browns Stadium in his hometown of Cleveland on Aug. 3.

Paul also noted that SmackDown will take place on day earlier on Aug. 2 at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland.

SummerSlam 2024 will mark the fourth consecutive year that the event has been held at an NFL stadium, and it will be the first SummerSlam in Cleveland since 1996.

Paul, who has quickly developed into one of WWE's top stars, mentioned that he wants to make SummerSlam as big as possible by bringing in several big names who are from the Cleveland area.

Logan mentioned his brother, rising boxing star Jake Paul, as well as musician Machine Gun Kelly, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and recently retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce.

He also joked about wrestling a match against legendary NBA star LeBron James, who was born in Akron, Ohio, and played for the Cleveland Cavaliers before joining the Los Angeles Lakers.

The 28-year-old Paul made his in-ring debut for WWE at WrestleMania 38 in a tag team match, but SummerSlam has been a huge part of his development into one of WWE's top attractions.

His first singles match was a win over The Miz at SummerSlam 2022, and he followed that up by beating Ricochet at last year's SummerSlam.

In addition to being a WWE Superstar, Paul is now a significant business partner with the promotion, as WWE struck a deal with him and his PRIME Hydration company.

As part of the agreement, the PRIME logo will be featured in the center of the mat at WWE premium live events, including WrestleMania 40 next month in Philadelphia.

Paul also figures to be involved in a major match on the Grandest Stage of Them All, as he has been embroiled in a rivalry with Randy Orton since costing Orton in the Elimination Chamber match last month.

Kevin Owens has also been involved in that storyline, which could lead to a Triple Threat match for the U.S. title.

Paul's potential opponent at SummerSlam 2024 is less clear since it is still several months away, but LA Knight could be a sensible choice given his popularity and the desire from fans to see him win a championship.
