SEC Tournament 2024: Schedule and Bracket Predictions for Men's Conference Tourney
The rest of the SEC is looking up to the Tennessee Volunteers.
Dalton Knecht and Co. secured the regular-season title and the No. 1 seed in the SEC tournament and they are fighting for a No. 1 seed in the NCAA men's basketball tournament.
Tennessee's spot at the top of the SEC tournament bracket is the only thing solidified between the top six teams in the league going into the final day of regular-season play on Saturday.
The Kentucky Wildcats are currently the No. 2 seed, but they could drop if they lose on the road to Tennessee. That game still matters for the Vols because it will further their case for a top seed in the Big Dance.
The three other teams with 12-5 league records are expected to win on Saturday, so one slip-up could cost a top program two or three spots in the standings and lose them a double bye in Nashville.

Bracket Predictions
2 of 2
1. Tennessee
2. Alabama
3. Auburn
4. South Carolina
5. Kentucky

7. LSU
8. Texas A&M
9. Mississippi State
10. Ole Miss
11. Georgia
12. Arkansas
13. Vanderbilt
14. Missouri
One result could dramatically alter the SEC tournament seeding chart.
Tennessee is locked into the No. 1 seed, as are the Vanderbilt Commodores and Missouri Tigers at the bottom.
A Tennessee win over Kentucky knocks the Wildcats out of the group of five-loss teams in conference play.
The Alabama Crimson Tide would be the No. 2 seed with a win over the Arkansas Razorbacks and a Kentucky loss. The Auburn Tigers would lock into the No. 3 seed with a victory over the Georgia Bulldogs.
The South Carolina Gamecocks, who are on the road against the Mississippi State Bulldogs, could finish in the top four with a win and a Kentucky loss. The Gamecocks will be behind Alabama and Auburn if they are tied on record because of head-to-head losses.
Kentucky would likely finish ahead of the Florida Gators with a loss to Tennessee. Florida is expected to beat Vanderbilt.
The Wildcats and Gators would be tied at 12-6 on league record. The two teams split their regular-season meetings, so the tiebreaker would come down to record against the top programs in the conference. Each team lost to Tennessee and Kentucky is 1-0 against Alabama, while Florida is 1-1 versus the Crimson Tide.
The LSU Tigers could be the biggest mover on Saturday. A win over the Missouri Tigers could boost them up to the No. 7 seed if the Texas A&M Aggies lose on the road to the Ole Miss Rebels and Mississippi State stumbles at home versus South Carolina.
The top four seeds receive double byes at the SEC tournament. The No. 5-8 seeds receive one bye into the second round.
