Paul Heyman Will Be Inducted Into WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2024

Before accompanying Roman Reigns and the Bloodline into WrestleMania, Paul Heyman is going to be honored as part of the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2024.

WWE announced Monday that Heyman will be inducted at this year's ceremony.

Heyman has been one of the most important figures in the history of professional wrestling since making his debut as a manager on the independent circuit in 1987.

After bouncing around various territories, Heyman spent time with the National Wrestling Alliance and WCW from 1988 to '93.

Heyman's firing by WCW in 1993 eventually led to the creation of ECW. He was a key figurehead and in charge of creative for most of the promotion's run before it went into bankruptcy and was eventually purchased by WWE.

During the Invasion storyline in 2001, ECW and WCW joined forces to take on WWE. Heyman was an on-screen character as the leader of ECW. He was paired up with Brock Lesnar in 2002 when the Beast made his WWE debut.

After having various roles, both on screen and behind the scenes, Heyman left in December 2006. He returned to the promotion as an on-screen character in May 2012 as a legal advisor to Lesnar.

The partnership between Heyman and Lesnar lasted until 2020 when he began working as a special counsel to Reigns. Heyman turned on Lesnar at the 2022 Royal Rumble during Lesnar's championship match against Bobby Lashley.

The Wiseman has worked side-by-side with Reigns throughout the Tribal Chief's historic run as WWE universal champion.

With WrestleMania 40 taking place in Philadelphia, which is also where the original ECW headquarters were located, Heyman's induction into the WWE Hall of Fame this year is a perfect fit.

WWE has yet to officially announce when this year's induction ceremony will take place. The 2023 class was inducted at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles following the Friday Night SmackDown that took place the night before WrestleMania 39.
