WWE 2K24: Reviewing DLC Details and New Features Ahead of Release

WWE and 2K Games tag team for the latest offering in their wildly popular franchise, WWE 2K24, releasing digitally and in stores this week.

This year's offering features an expansive roster of 200-plus Superstars from different eras and generations. If that was not enough, though, the game features an impressive array of downloadable content that touts talent from today, around the world, and iconic promotions such as WCW and ECW.

CM Punk and the WWE Universe let their voices be heard and 2K Games listened.

Punk, arguably the most popular star in the company, was the most notably absent star from the initial roster release, most likely due to the timing of his return to WWE.

The Straight Edge Superstar will headline this year's crop of downloadable content but is far from the only noteworthy competitor that fans will have the opportunity to attain as part of the WWE 2K24 Season Pass.

There is also Jade Cargill, who makes her WWE Games debut in September, joined by current Women's Tag Team Champion Kairi Sane.

Other notable competitors include NXT Women's Champion Lyra Valkyria and former WWE Tag Team Champions and Hall of Famers, The Dudley Boyz.

New Features In MyRise

The MyRISE feature in WWE 2K24 will feature two unique stories, one for the men's division and another for the women's, which will allow players to take their created Superstars from the Performance Center to the main event of WrestleMania.

The developers promise, "80 rewards to be unlocked, including arenas, Paybacks, entrances, MyFACTION cards, and championship belts," as well as, "over [six] hours of dialogue, with voiceover for the first time from Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, "Dirty" Dominik Mysterio, Mick Foley, Shotzi, and more."

The women's storyline track, called Unleashed, will see the created star as the owner of a red-hot independent promotion, with the chance to make the big jump to WWE.

The men's version, titled Undisputed, the created Superstar will attempt to fill Reigns' shoes after The Tribal Chief heads to Hollywood. The Head of the Table never really goes away, though, and returns to test the new main event star's mettle on the biggest stage.

Each story features twists and turns, keeping gamers guessing as to what awaits their created competitor next.
