The Rock, Roman Reigns Challenge Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins to Match at WrestleMania
The Rock and Roman Reigns have challenged Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes to a tag team match on the first night of WrestleMania XL.
The Rock threw down that gauntlet Friday evening at SmackDown:
Rhodes is already set to challenge Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, while Rollins will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre.
The Rock initially appeared ready to face Reigns for the championship after Rhodes agreed to cede his title shot at WrestleMania by virtue of him winning the Royal Rumble.
Rhodes changed his mind, however, leading to a massive feud between him and Rollins versus The Bloodline.
Rollins has notably said the WWE doesn't need the Rock, which has drawn the ire of the People's Champ, who fired back at both his adversaries in a video posted Friday.
The Rock's WrestleMania appearance would be his first in a wrestling ring since his six-second squash match win over Erick Rowan at WrestleMania 32.
Presuming this upcoming tag team match lasts longer than six seconds, then this would be his first legitimate match since WrestleMania 29 (2013), when he dropped the WWE Championship John Cena.
