Juan Soto Endorses Yankees' Pursuit of Blake Snell in MLB FA: 'Would Be Unbelievable'
Yankees fans aren't the only ones hoping for a Juan Soto-Blake Snell reunion in New York.
Soto gave Snell a full-throated endorsement of the Yankees potentially signing the NL Cy Young winner, who remains a free agent with spring training underway.
"It would be unbelievable to have two Cy Young winners going back to back, it'd be great," Soto told Jon Heyman of the New York Post. "[Snell's] a great guy, a great player. Any help that we can get I would love.

"I know if he's coming over, he's going to help the team big-time. It's always great to have great talent on the team. I would never say no. So it's a great fit for him, I think."
The Yankees have been linked to Snell for months as they continue searching for pitching help next to Gerrit Cole. New York tied for the seventh-fewest quality starts in baseball last season with 48. Cole was responsible for exactly half of those, as no other starter on the staff posted more than six quality starts.
Snell won his second Cy Young last season after posting a 14-9 record with a 2.25 ERA and 1.19 WHIP while striking out 234 batters in 180 innings. He's won the Cy Young in both of his MLB seasons where he's topped over 150 innings.
That said, Snell's availability and penchant for high pitch counts have been his undoing. He's consistently been among the game's best power pitchers but regularly has control issues; even last season he averaged 4.95 walks per nine innings.
While few would deny Snell's talent, there is a reason he's languishing on the open market as March approaches. The Yankees may wind up landing a star on a discount if Snell is willing to sign a short-term deal.
